Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens with HIPAA-compliant accuracy
- Operate centrifuges and lab equipment
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for testing
- Maintain sterile workstations and equipment calibration
- Document procedures in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab staff for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/AMT/NHA)
- KY phlebotomy license or eligibility
- 1+ years clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional communication and patient care skills
- Proficiency in specimen handling protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Background check and drug screen clearance
