Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring vital signs
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Mentor new nurses and uphold infection control protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to rapid response and code blue events
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in telemetry or ICU
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure scenarios
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic patient acuity levels
