Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and digital triage systems to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care and critical interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
- Train new staff on triage procedures and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong Spanish language skills preferred
- Experience with telehealth triage platforms a plus
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
