Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Take and develop diagnostic X-rays with precision and patient comfort
- Implement strict sterilization protocols (OSHA compliance)
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Deliver chairside assistance during restorative and surgical procedures
- Provide post-op instructions and compassionate patient education
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Excellent communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to infection control protocols
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends
