Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage prescription documentation
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain inventory control and ensure pharmacy compliance with state regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for efficient operations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Ohio Pharmacy Technician certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
