Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to medical interventions, escalating concerns immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with Joint Commission standards.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Adapt quickly to diverse clinical settings and high-volume environments.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting (Medical-Surgical, ICU, or Telemetry preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
