Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide expert clinical guidance over phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in Epic systems
- Manage high-volume call centers while maintaining exceptional patient satisfaction scores
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Provide health education to patients and families during critical decision moments
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia (or compact license)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in telehealth triage and EHR documentation systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated empathy and cultural competence
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
