Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via telehealth and in-person triage protocols
- Prioritize cases using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Document assessments accurately in Epic EMR systems
- Provide clear patient education on care instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and California nursing standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN # required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficient in Epic EMR documentation systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotational weekends
- Spanish bilingual preferred (not required)
- BSN degree or higher preferred
