Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment using advanced autoclave systems
- Monitor inventory and restock specialized surgical supplies
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and AORN safety protocols
- Document procedural details in electronic health records system
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of scrub experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with laparoscopic and robotic surgical equipment
- BLS certification with current AHA provider status
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization validation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
