Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize advanced surgical equipment using premium instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during complex procedures with specialized equipment handling
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Operate robotic and laparoscopic systems with precision
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless procedures
- Manage equipment inventory and troubleshoot technical issues
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 2+ years experience in Level I trauma or specialty surgery
- Expertise in robotic-assisted surgery equipment (da Vinci, etc.)
- Knowledge of advanced sterilization techniques (STERRAD, etc.)
- BLS/CPR certification with current ACLS preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot complex surgical equipment
- Excellent communication skills in high-pressure environments
