Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments using advanced equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Operate specialized surgical technology including endoscopic and robotic systems
- Manage sterilization processes for all surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain equipment calibration and troubleshooting protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience with advanced equipment
- Proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic surgical systems
- Current BLS and surgical instrument certification
- Knowledge of AORN standards and infection control protocols
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique adherence
