Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for procedures, ensuring sterility and readiness.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the surgical team.
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures and supplies used.
- Handle patient transfers and positioning safely and accurately.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
