Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count and track surgical supplies to ensure accuracy and prevent retention
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide intraoperative support
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis and maintain sterile environments
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize procedural efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and OSHA protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
