Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Operating Room: Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to surgical procedures to ensure readiness and safety.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, and counting sponges and needles to maintain patient safety.
  • Maintain Sterility: Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and monitor the sterile field to prevent contamination during procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
