Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sutures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to maintain sterile field.
- Monitor and maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery by positioning them and washing incision sites.
- Ensure operating room cleanliness and sterilization of equipment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (CST certification required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
