Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and count supplies post-procedure
- Monitor inventory levels and restock operating rooms
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control standards
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless surgical workflows
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR tech experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Oklahoma Surgical Tech license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
