Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transferring, and walking using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients who need help.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Administer medication as directed by the RN or doctor.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and improve quality of life.
- Document daily activities and changes in client condition accurately in the care plan.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required for home health roles).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- CNA, HHA, or CMT certification is a plus but not required (training provided).
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
