Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Count and track surgical supplies/instruments before/during/after operations
- Transport patients and specimens safely between departments
- Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments
- Document procedural details in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure seamless surgical workflows
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior surgical tech experience needed – we train you!
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (provided if not certified)
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-stress environments
- Must complete our paid training program within 6 months of hire
