Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions using triage protocols and prioritize emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Provide accurate medical information to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Document patient encounters and maintain electronic health records with precision
- Monitor patient vital signs and escalate critical cases immediately
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for emergency care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems
- BSN degree preferred
