Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries
- Transport patients to operating rooms and position them correctly
- Scrub in and gown for surgical procedures as needed
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and restock ORs
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary (training provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic understanding of medical terminology preferred
- Valid BLS/CPR certification (will be provided during training)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Commitment to completing 12-week paid training program
