Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for all specialties
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sponge/needle counts
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to OSHA/AORN standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless case flow
- Document procedures accurately in EMR systems
- Train remotely on new technologies and protocols
- Manage inventory and sterilization processes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 2+ years OR experience with multiple specialties
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques
- Ability to work independently during remote administrative tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Basic EMR proficiency for remote documentation
- Flexibility to work on-call weekends
- Valid MN healthcare provider CPR certification
