Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and virtual triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs.
- Apply clinical judgment to differentiate between urgent, emergent, and non-urgent conditions.
- Document patient interactions accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Facilitate appropriate referrals to physicians, specialists, or emergency services as required.
- Educate patients on self-care management and medication instructions.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care for complex cases.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols.
