Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Inventory and manage surgical equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with nursing and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless procedures
- Document surgical activities accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
- Current BLS certification
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards and protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including on-call duties
