Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment per OSHA guidelines
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Respond to emergency situations in operating rooms
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate (CST preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year OR experience (new grads welcome)
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and precision
