Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for all procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments in operating rooms
- Handle and process surgical specimens accurately
- Manage inventory and restock supplies between cases
- Adhere to OSHA and AORN safety protocols
- Document case activities in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- BLS certification from AHA
- Knowledge of sterile processing procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety focus
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
