Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nurses in sterile field preparation during procedures
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to OSHA standards
- Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and restock operating rooms
- Transport patients safely between pre-op, OR, and recovery areas
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and instrument counts
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with surgical techniques
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- CPR certification (will be provided during training)
- Valid Nevada driver's license (if required for facility transport)
