Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and prepare them for surgery
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain equipment calibration and sterilization records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of recent surgical tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic technique
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- BLS certification required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
