Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Take and develop high-quality intraoral and extraoral radiographs (X-rays).
- Manage patient records electronically, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment rooms.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred).
- DANB Certified (CDA, RHS, or ICE) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting (new grads with high potential considered).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor skills effectively.
