Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and restock operating rooms as needed
- Document all surgical procedures accurately and maintain electronic records
- Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient flow and safety
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience in hospital setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards and infection control protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work weekends and on-call shifts
