Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a safe environment.
- Count sponges and instruments to maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor patient vitals and maintain sterile field protocols.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room safely.
- Maintain inventory levels of surgical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or CMA (AAMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in fast-paced environments.
