Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and document surgical activities accurately
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and ensure equipment functionality
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them for procedures
- Adhere to hospital safety standards and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in Level I trauma center
- Expertise in orthopedic, general surgery, and neurosurgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
