Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and monitor patient vital signs
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and document procedures
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless operations
- Adhere to strict OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrumentation
- Knowledge of major surgical specialties (orthopedic, neuro, general)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
