Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Implement strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Document procedural details and equipment usage in compliance with hospital standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain equipment functionality and troubleshoot technical issues
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred
