Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment according to protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and ensure equipment functionality
- Apply infection control standards and aseptic techniques consistently
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain sterile processing workflows
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize procedural efficiency
- Participate in continuous education for surgical technologies
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent military training
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Minimum 1 year OR experience in acute care setting
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
