Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to infection control protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and monitor operating room conditions
- Transport patients to and from surgical suites and position them safely
- Document procedural details and inventory supplies accurately
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient case turnover
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
