Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Coordinate patient flow between emergency, urgent care, and specialty services
- Communicate critical clinical information to physicians and care teams
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with timely documentation
- Provide patient education on care pathways and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with social services to address patient needs and resources
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional triage and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-pressure situations
