Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce strict infection control protocols
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Transport patients to and from surgical suites with safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Expertise in sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
