Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and count supplies before/after surgeries
- Operate surgical equipment including cameras, monitors, and robotic systems
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and restock cabinets
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
- Document procedural activities in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent scrub experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Valid Arizona state license (if applicable)
