Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical equipment sterilization, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Document case details and equipment usage in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- 2+ years of experience in hospital or ambulatory surgical setting
- Expertise in sterile processing and surgical equipment operation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and AORN standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
