Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning correctly.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by anticipating their needs and passing instruments with precision.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques at all times.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical history, communicating changes to the nursing staff.
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock rooms as necessary to ensure efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure smooth and safe patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
