Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment before surgeries.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff or surgeon.
- Ensure operating rooms are organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or CST-C certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift equipment as needed.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications.
