Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to surgeon specifications
- Maintain sterile field integrity during procedures and assist with gowning/gloving protocols
- Anticipate surgeon's needs by passing instruments and supplies efficiently
- Assist with patient positioning and draping in the operating room
- Manage inventory and restock supplies between surgical cases
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Document procedure details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
