Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, equipment, and surgical instruments
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies in operating rooms
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Commitment to completing 6-month paid training program
- Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during training)
