Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain sterile environments
- Transport patients and surgical specimens safely and efficiently
- Document procedural information accurately in electronic health records
- Manage surgical inventory and restock supplies between cases
- Apply sterile techniques and maintain aseptic protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical experience necessary (training provided)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Valid CPR certification (will be provided if not current)
- Pass background check and drug screening
