Responsibilities
- Pre-Operative Prep: Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures according to sterile techniques.
- Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Patient Care: Monitor patient vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and functioning correctly.
- Documentation: Accurately record medical records, counts, and patient information.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time training and shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
