Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before and after procedures
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and documentation
- Operate surgical equipment including endoscopic cameras and retractors
- Participate in emergency surgeries and trauma cases as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent surgical tech experience
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ST79)
- Ability to work in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and anatomy
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
