Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during operations
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic protocols
- Count and track surgical instruments/sponges pre/post-procedure
- Assist with patient positioning and transport
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain instrument inventory
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient case flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain)
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/AST)
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- TN state license or eligibility
