Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Perform sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in remote quality improvement initiatives and training programs
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room experience preferred
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work independently during remote administrative tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work on-call weekends and evenings as needed
