- Process and submit accurate insurance claims using ICD-10/CPT codes
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve billing discrepancies through insurance carrier follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly reports on accounts receivable metrics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services correctly
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing software daily
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10)
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial payers
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with denial resolution and appeals processes
- Associate degree in Health Information Management or equivalent
