Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure aseptic techniques throughout procedures
- Count and document surgical supplies and instruments per protocol
- Prepare and transport patients to/from operating rooms safely
- Scrub, gown, and assist with patient draping for all surgical specialties
- Manage sterilization processes and inventory of surgical supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent operating room experience
- Graduation from accredited Surgical Technology program
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards and OSHA protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
